Omeda Studios has released the Version 1.4 update for its free-to-play third-person action MOBA, Predecessor. This update introduces Boris, a new playable hero described as a cybernetically enhanced bear with unique abilities. Boris’s ultimate ability, Ursine Burst, allows him to charge at high speed, grab an enemy hero, and slam them into the ground, creating shockwaves that damage nearby enemies. The update also includes the Loot Core system, which provides players with new ways to acquire in-game items. These Loot Cores are categorized into Ion Cores and Quantum Cores, offering varying levels of rewards, including rare and legendary items. Players can earn Loot Cores through in-game challenges, seasonal events, and the new Shadow Ops Battle Pass.
The Shadow Ops Battle Pass, introduced in this update, offers up to 60 levels of exclusive rewards for players who purchase the premium upgrade. It also provides additional opportunities to unlock items for all heroes in the game. Alongside these content additions, the update includes quality-of-life improvements such as voice chat implementation, enhanced text chat functionality, and improved custom match options. With this update, Omeda Studios continues to expand Predecessor’s content and features, aiming to enhance the overall player experience. The game has surpassed two million players across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms, reflecting its growing popularity.
