The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) is set to expand its fleet by acquiring 3,000 ready-built 11-meter buses.
The transport body has issued an e-tender for this procurement recently. The last deadline for bid submission is May 14 and it will be opened next day.
The MSRTC will procure buses equipped with diesel engines, along with a Comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contract (CAMC) covering the engine and related systems.
Successful bidders will be responsible for the maintenance of the engine and related systems for a period of seven years, while other components will be maintained by MSRTC mechanics.
Currently, MSRTC operates around 14,500 buses across its vast network of 251 depots and 31 divisions.
