Thank you for waiting for the December horoscope.
About a week ago, I was halfway through writing the horoscopes. I was up to Virgo (I start with Aries), and suddenly I got a terrible stomach virus. It was strange—I had no normal symptoms, only that I simply could not eat. I felt like I had swallowed a rock in my stomach. I lived on water and flat Coca Cola—later I added a small mount of bread. It was not food poisoning. I slept around the clock.
When I recovered, I was in a panic—I don’t have a week to be sick! I had so much more to write and so little time to get it done. To complicate things further, there was so much more to say for December—you will see the forecasts are unusually comprehensive, about 50 percent longer.
Instead of a one new moon and one full moon to analyze, I had two new moons, just like last month. If you check your calendar, this will keep happening for months, until June.
This means I had to write more, but you know I am dedicated to giving you a full, comprehensive report. I also had two retrogrades to explain—Mercury and his big brother Mars. Venus is waiting in the wings to go out of phase too, on March 1.
You might be interested in my process. First I print out a full moon and a new moon chart for each sign (24 pages of charts) but in December, just like November, I had to print out 36 charts because each month had three lunations for each of the 12 zodiac signs. When a new or full moon is at the start or end of a month, you will feel that lunation in both months, and I am duty bound to give you that information.
For example, if a new moon falls at the end of the month, as it does this month on December 30, you will feel it quite strongly for at least 10 days after it appears, initially in December, but much more so in January.
If there were a full moon at the end of the month (there isn’t but let’s pretend there is), then you would feel that full moon for two day prior to its reaching fullness and as many as five days after it occurs. That would bring you into the adjoining month, too.
From now until June 2025, I will be writing 50 percent more because all the new moons are falling at the very end of the month.
In these cases I write about the new moon in both adjoining months’ forecasts. This week, you didn’t have to wait for my December report—that new moon appeared November 30 or December 1 (depending on your local time), and I wrote about it in my November report. You had the information.
One reader wrote me such a scathing, angry letter about having to wait a few extra days for the scopes this month that made me quite sad, and it disrupted my concentration. It was hard to write at all. She accused me of being late on purpose, to pump up my number of “hits” on my website.
Just so you know, when people keep checking my website when I am late, Google’s algorithm counts that as a bounce, but it’s not a valued measurement. A bounce is when a person checks the site quickly and, not getting the information they searched for, leave. I have very low bounce numbers, except on the last days of the month.
What counts in the Internet world is “unique readers,” not how many clicks are on a page. One reader might click around here or there on one page, so that is not considered important— a “unique reader” is far more important. I would never deliberately hold back information from you! That accusation hurts terribly.
Turning our discussion now to social media, I want you to remember all the important days of each month, so nearly every day I remind you of them on social media. If you look, you will see the important aspects of the day, and I go into detail about them in layman’s terms them on social media. You don’t need to post when you join a platform—you can just read what I am giving you each day.

Sometimes your browser will remember a typo you made entering you credit card or your address, for example, if you were typing fast, and your browser (unbeknown to you) replicates that typo over and over. We answer letters very fast—certainly by the next day. Include your phone number in case we need to call you. If you can take a screen shot of what exactly you are encountering, our engineers can diagnose the problem very quickly.
