The Duchess of Sussex has given an unusually intimate insight into her marriage to Prince Harry, saying it feels like they’re back in the ‘honeymoon period’ now that she’s returned to the spotlight
Meghan Markle has offered a rare glimpse into her private life with Prince Harry, describing their current bliss as akin to a ‘honeymoon period’. Speaking to PEOPLE magazine while promoting her new Netflix series, ‘With Love, Meghan’, the Duchess of Sussex revealed how her latest ventures, including her lifestyle brand ‘As Ever’, have reignited her passion for creativity, reminiscent of her days running the successful lifestyle blog, The Tig.
She shared with the magazine: “My husband met me when I had The Tig, and I see this spark in his eye when he sees me doing the thing that I was doing when he first met me.”
Meghan reflected on the early days of their relationship, saying, “It’s almost like a honeymoon period again because it’s exactly how it was in the beginning when he’d watch me scribbling away, writing newsletters, fine-tuning edits and just really being in the details of it. I think he loves watching as much as I love doing that creative process. It’s just been fun. This is who I’ve always been.”
The Duchess also touched upon her decision to shut down The Tig after her romance with Harry deepened, stating she doesn’t regret it because although she cherished the site and its community, she “loved [her] husband more”. Since stepping back from Royal duties in 2020, Meghan and Harry initially embarked on several joint projects and deals.
Their initial Netflix venture, a fly-on-the-wall docuseries titled ‘Harry and Meghan’, chronicled their adjustment to life in the US. Now, they’re branching out into individual projects while still collaborating through their joint organisation, the Archewell Foundation, reports the Mirror.
She shared: “I imagine that it’s the same as it would be for any couple, you have your individual jobs, but then you have things that you share together.
“We’ve been such a close team for so long that we’re just in it beat by beat with each other and I love that.”
Meghan’s latest Netflix offering, ‘With Love, Meghan’, premieres tomorrow, promising viewers an insight into her lifestyle expertise. Anticipated to divulge recipes, gardening tips, and hosting know-how, the show will also feature a lineup of star-studded guests.
Despite expectations, Meghan has revealed that the filming didn’t take place in her actual home—a common practice among celebrity shows—as she aims to “protect” their family’s privacy.
