A teenage girl was allegedly assaulted by a McDonald’s employee in Florida after getting her own dipping sauce from behind the counter.

Akeena Sampson, 31, was working at a St. Petersburg restaurant on April 4 when she “knowingly or willfully” attacked the teen, according to the arrest affidavit obtained by Fox News.
The 17-year-old girl walked behind the counter at the restaurant to grab a ranch dipping sauce after she alleged that the employees on duty didn’t help her.
The teen was returning to the lobby area when Sampson ran over to the girl and “grabbed her arm,” the affidavit read.
The alleged victim tried to break free from Sampson’s grip but the employee “grabbed her neck choking her and taking her to the ground,” where she continued to choke her.
Officers who responded to the scene noted that the girl had “visible injuries to her neck and left elbow,” according to the report.

Police also reviewed security footage, which is believed to have captured the entire altercation.
Sampson was arrested on a charge of child abuse without great bodily harm.

She was bonded out of custody the following day and ordered to have no contact with the teen and stay away from the restaurant.
The employee has yet to enter a plea in the case.
A McDonald’s spokesperson told the outlet in a statement that they were aware of the incident and that Sampson has been placed on leave during the ongoing investigation.
“We do not tolerate violence of any kind in our restaurants,” the company said.
“This individual was immediately placed on administrative leave pending an internal investigation. We are assisting and cooperating with local law enforcement efforts.”
