The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has postponed the annual matriculation and intermediate exams in consideration of the upcoming month of Ramadan.
All educational boards have been instructed to reschedule the matric exams, which were originally set to begin on March 5. The exams will now commence after Ramadan, starting on April 8.
Peshawar Board Chairman Nasrullah Khan confirmed the decision, stating that the exams would be conducted in April, as per the provincial government’s directive. The exams will begin on April 8, and an official announcement will be made during this week’s meeting of all board chairmen. ”
Additionally, the intermediate exams, initially scheduled for April 10, have been postponed to May 7.
The decision aims to support students and teachers, acknowledging that fasting during Ramadan may affect their ability to focus and participate in exams.
