Massive brawl at Tigers-Rabbitohs NRL match caught on camera

Footage has emerged of a fight that broke out at the Wests Tigers-South Sydney Rabbitohs NRL match last night.

Two men have been arrested, two others were taken to hospital, and two police officers were allegedly assaulted.

At about 7.50pm, police were told a fight had broken out between rival supporters at Campbelltown Sports Stadium in Sydney’s south-west.

Footage obtained by 9News showed groups of fans from both teams caught in the brawl, with one man seen kicking another person while they lay on the ground.

Hundreds of other spectators watched on from the sidelines.

While responding to the incident, one police officer was allegedly punched in the head, and a second was allegedly punched in the face, before assistance from other officers was sought.

A 30-year-old man was charged with affray, two counts of assaulting police, and resisting arrest.

He was bailed to attend court on June 12.

A 28-year-old man was arrested for alleged assault and will be issued with a court attendance notice.

Four people were evicted from the stadium.

The police officers have been treated for cuts and bruises.
