Man United defender Leny Yoro picked up an injury against Arsenal but is set to be available for selection again.
Manchester United defender Leny Yoro feels “no pain” after completing his injury rehabilitation.
Yoro was substituted at half-time against Arsenal earlier in the month and he was replaced by Ayden Heaven, who delivered an excellent performance in the second half at Old Trafford.
The Frenchman has been absent since that 1-1 draw against Arsenal, but he is set to be available against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night.
Yoro has returned to full training at Carrington and he is likely to start when Ruben Amorim names his XI to face Forest at the City Ground.
Yoro missed the start of the season after suffering a fractured metatarsal in pre-season, and he admitted he was thankful for the support he received during recovery from his fresh issue.
“I feel really good, I am back in training today and [I feel] no pain. I am really happy with everything,” said Yoro to MUTV.
“Honestly, everyone in the club [has] helped me. Even with an injury in the middle of the season, the medical staff, the players, and the fans, everyone was able to support me and this is something you need when you get a big injury. It has been really important for me.”
Yoro has made 21 appearances in all competitions this season and the young centre-back began to show signs of his quality after returning from his fractured metatarsal injury in December.
United announced the signing of Yoro from Lille for €62m plus €8m in add-ons last summer. Liverpool and Real Madrid were also interested but United won the race for his signature.
After Yoro’s transfer was made official, he said: “Signing for a club with the stature and ambition of Manchester United so early in my career is an incredible honour.
“Since my first conversations with the club, they set out a clear plan for how I can develop in Manchester as part of this exciting project and showed a lot of care for me and my family.
“I know about the history of young players at Manchester United and feel it can be the perfect place to reach my potential and achieve my ambitions, together with my new teammates. I cannot wait to get started.”
Former sporting director Dan Ashworth said: “Leny is one of the most exciting young defenders in world football; he possesses every attribute needed to develop into a top-class centre-back.
“Having had such an excellent start to his career we are excited to support him in reaching his immense potential here at Manchester United.
“This club has a fantastic record of developing young players, whether homegrown or brought in from elsewhere, and giving them the required guidance, time and patience to grow and flourish.”
