Alexander Isak is reported to be happy with the interest in him from a handful of clubs including Manchester United.

The Newcastle striker is a hot commodity at the moment. His ruthless goal scoring and constant forward threat for the Magpies has caught the attention from some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Barcelona have joined a list of Premier League sides, including Man United, Arsenal and Liverpool, who are reportedly interested in the Swedish striker.

According to Spanish newspaper, Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are aware that ‘Isak is excited to be on their agenda for the near future.’ The Spanish giants are looking for a striker to support Robert Lewandowski who turns 37 this year.

Ruben Amorim’s side would like to bring Isak to Old Trafford so the Swede can do the thing he does best – score goals. Big-money transfers Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund, who cost £108.5m together, have scored five goals combined this season in the Premier League.

Man United have scored the sixth lowest amount of goals in the Premier League this campaign. Across statistics concerning expected goals, shots on target per match and big chances this season, Amorim’s side don’t feature in the top 10 across any of them.

Bringing in a forward like Isak, who Newcastle may have to let go if they don’t qualify for the Champions League due to financial constraints, could help push Man United back up the table.

The most recent price tag linked to the Newcastle forward is an eye-watering £120m. Although an extraordinary amount of money for one players, success won’t come free for Amorim.
