A hilarious video that has gone viral shows a couple kayaking in the middle of the sea and the man abruptly stopping paddling—not to admire the view, but to settle an argument. It doesn’t get serious, the man just demands that his wife agrees with him, smiles throughout the trip, and not complain about bad pictures. The Internet is loving it.
The video, shared by Instagram user Arushi Trivedi, shows her husband Kartik refusing to move the kayak unless she concedes. In the caption, Arushi admitted to giving in. She wrote, “I had to say sorry to get it moving because no matter how much I tried, this stupid kayak wouldn’t move unless Kartik helped.” She also added a pro tip for anyone in a similar situation: “Apologise when you’re in the middle of the sea in a two-person kayak with no lifeguards around, especially after you’ve just had an almost drowning experience with huge water currents.”

Reacting to the video, one user commented, “The acts of asking the wife to apologize in this video have been performed under expert supervision, after years of rigorous training, extensive field research, and occasional near-death experiences. Attempting this without proper consultation may result in cold stares, silent treatments, or lifelong regret. Viewer discretion (and a backup apology plan) is advised.”
Another user said, “Bro saw an opportunity and made the best out of it.” A third person commented, “Bro is a true legend!!!! Did what many of us dream of, in an equally dreamy setup.”
One user recalled a similar experience during their honeymoon: “Me and my husband did the exact same thing. I told him, ‘Dekho, zinda rehna hai toh pehle kinaare pahuchte hain’.” (Better reach the shore if you want to stay alive).
