HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — One person is dead after a family dispute escalated into a fatal shooting in a southwest Houston home on Sunday afternoon, police said.
According to Houston police, the shooting happened at a residence on Whittingham Lane near Longcommon Drive and was reported at about 4:40 p.m.
The victim has only been identified as a man in his 30s. Police say he was shot in the chest after a family dispute turned violent. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.
Police are still searching for the suspect who reportedly fled the scene in a purple Maserati.
