Police are searching for multiple suspects after a man was shot to death on Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach overnight.
The shooting was reported around 11 p.m. Tuesday along the 200 block of PCH near Locust Avenue.
Arriving officers located the unidentified man down on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his upper body, a spokesperson for the Long Beach Police Department confirmed.
“They rendered medical aid until the Long Beach Fire Department arrived and determined the victim deceased,” the spokesperson stated in an email.
Witnesses told investigators that three to four people fled the scene on foot after the shooting.
The spokesperson did not provide descriptions of the suspects or a possible motive for the shooting, but said that the investigation was ongoing.
