A 34-year-old has been charged following a violent home invasion robbery two years ago in Mississauga.

Peel Regional Police alleged that on the morning of Oct. 23, 2023, four suspects went to an address near Mavis Rd. and Bristol Rd. W. wearing hardhats and carrying clipboards and forced entry into the home while the victims were inside.
Once inside, police alleged that the suspects violently assaulted and forcibly confined the victims while brandishing a handgun and making demands for property and money.
The victims suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

On Wednesday, Peel cops said investigators arrested and charged Clifford Francois, of no fixed address, with robbery, forcible confinement and assault causing bodily harm.
This investigation remains ongoing and police anticipate more charges being laid.
