Man arrested after woman burnt and left fighting for life in Brisbane

A man has been arrested after a woman was burnt and left fighting for her life.

Authorities were called to a home on Kingston Court in Kingston, south-east of Brisbane, about 7.45am today and found a woman aged in her 30s with burns on her body.

She was treated at the scene before being rushed to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a life-threatening condition.

Police have taken a 36-year-old man into custody and are currently questioning him.

A crime scene has been established at the home.

Secondary crime scenes have been set up at Gould Adams Park on Kingston Road and the Kingston Train Station.
