‘Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP’ Developer Dragami Games Announces Plans for New Projects With the IP

Having resurrected Lollipop Chainsaw with their remaster last year with Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, Dragami Games has set their sights on developing multiple new projects related to the Lollipop Chainsaw IP. The developer has announced a new partnership agreement with Taiwan-based investment and development company Nada Holdings to launch “multiple new projects.”

Per the press release, the new initiative by Dragami and Nada Holdings “aims to further expand the franchise through multifaceted projects and cross-industry collaborations.”

“Thirteen years ago, our original development team poured immense passion and creativity into creating Lollipop Chainsaw, says Shohei Sato, President and CEO of Dragami Games. “Since then, the game has continued to receive tremendous support and love from fans. We are deeply grateful for this, and it moves us profoundly. To further expand the title and meet the expectations of our fans, Dragami Games has made the important decision to move forward with a new phase of IP development for Lollipop Chainsaw.”

Per Joe Teng, Chairman of Nada Holdings, the company aims to devote itself “wholeheartedly” to “preserving the spirit of the original work and meeting the expectations of its fans.”

The two companies have already begun planning and assembling a team for the project, aiming to demonstrate their commitment to honoring the original work and “faithfully capturing its unique style and appeal.”

Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP launched in September 2024 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, and in December 2024 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
