Kroll has announced promotions across its international offices. In the UK, this has seen Aurelio Garcia-Miro named managing director as co-leader of the firm’s European restructuring practice, while David Eden becomes a managing director focusing on real estate advisory in the British market.
Established in 1932, and based in New York, Kroll is a financial and risk advisory firm with offices around the world. Formerly known as Duff & Phelps, the consultancy provides risk, governance, transaction and valuation advisory services to clients of all shapes and sizes.
Kroll already has the largest offshore presence of any global restructuring firm with teams delivering complex cross-border restructuring solutions in multiple jurisdictions. But as Kroll bids to strengthen its restructuring business, it has committed to expand both the number of professionals and capabilities in multiple geographies.
The latest move in that journey has seen Aurelio Garcia-Miro hired to co-lead Kroll’s restructuring practice across key European markets including UK, Germany, Spain, France, Italy and the Netherlands. Working alongside fellow managing director Andreas Fluhrer, he will now work to build an integrated financial and operational restructuring practice with a primary focus on providing interim management and executive services, cross-border in and out of court restructurings.
Sarah Rayment, co-head of global restructuring at Kroll, commented, “We are delighted to welcome global experts Aurelio and Andreas to Kroll. Over the past 12 months we have seen a great deal of restructuring activity, and a wide range of factors mean this will only accelerate in the months ahead. To this end, we’ve hired even more specialist talent to support across the sectors and geographies where our clients are looking to reconfigure, restructure, refinance or recapitalise their business models. The macroeconomic and geopolitical environment and the work we do are increasing exponentially in complexity and we’re ready for the challenge.”
Meanwhile, specifically in the UK, David Eden has joined as managing director in Kroll’s national restructuring practice, with a focus on real estate advisory. As a Chartered Surveyor and Registered Property Receiver, he brings more than 18 years of professional services experience specializing in corporate recovery and receivership.
Looking ahead, Kroll will continue to expand globally and build a presence where its clients and investments are based to support ever increasing demand in cross-border investment. This has also seen Jason Kardachi become co-head of global restructuring from the firm’s Singapore office. And in the UAE, Kroll has welcomed Associate Managing Director Christian Jarjour and Senior Vice President Bharat Khemani, to its Dubai-based restructuring practice.
