Johnston Carmichael Wealth has appointed Leigh Townsley as a chartered financial planner. She strengthens the freshly carved-out firm’s team in response to growing demand for trusted, personalised financial advice.

Bringing over 25 years of experience in financial services, Townsley’s knowhow includes 18 years as a qualified financial planner. In her new role based in Glasgow, she will support Johnston Carmichael Wealth in providing a range of financial planning services, including retirement planning, estate and wealth management and protection.

Johnston Carmichael Wealth became part of Partners Wealth Management earlier in 2025, following its acquisition from Johnston Carmichael. The firm has continued to grow since, and now comprises of 15 financial planners and a broader team of more than 60 professionals. Townsley’s appointment is in line with the firm’s strategy to expand its wealth services across Scotland and the UK.
As part of the transaction which saw it carved out from Johnston Carmichael, Johnston Carmichael Wealth has retained its existing team, led by Craig Hendry. According to the managing director, Townsley’s “technical knowledge, commitment to client care and genuine warmth” make her “a fantastic addition to our team”.
