Jack Turner, Andrew Cain, Brad Strand and Lucas Biswana all featured on the undercard of Nick Ball’s showdown against Ronny Rios
Jack Turner continued his explosive start to life in the professional ranks as he claimed his seventh first-round finish of his career on Saturday night. Turner batted Gonzalo Corinaldesi from the first bell at the M&S Bank Arena and produced a savage finish when he landed a huge right towards the end of the first round that knocked his opponent clean out.
Reflecting on the emphatic victory, the bantamweight said: “I thought I boxed really well. I wasn’t looking for the knockout. I took my time and it came.
“It is amazing. This is a great opportunity to be on these kinds of big shows, and I am just taking it all in. The atmosphere was unbelievable.

“I want to go to the very top. Step by step, I will get there. I am still only a baby, and I’m still learning, but my dream is to be at the top. One day I am going to make that happen.”
Andrew Cain also claimed an explosive knockout of his own when he stopped Lazaro Casseres in the second round of their bout.
The Everton Red Triangle fighter, who is the current British and Commonwealth bantamweight champion, said: “I wanted a bit more of a fight. He knew what he was doing in there. He was waiting for me to then try and land a big counter.
“I had good eyes in there tonight, and I felt like he couldn’t find me with anything, and it was only going to go one way.
“I had a bit of time out of the ring, and I knew I had to make that time back, and the only way for me to do that was to knock people out.
“Now I am at the stage where everyone knows I can knock people out. Now it is about showing people what I am really about, and that is boxing IQ.”
Elsewhere on the undercard, Brad Stand returned to winning ways after he stopped Marvin Solano, while Lucas Biswana claimed a points win on his professional debut.
