Jack Schlossberg sparks fierce backlash over bizarre tweet about his ‘hot’ grandmother

Jack Schlossberg has shocked his social media following after posting a ‘weird’ question about his grandmother, with some accusing him of ‘disrespecting her for Twitter likes.’

The 32-year-old political correspondent, who is the grandson of former president John F. Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy, ignited controversy as he took to X during Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Addressing his 142,000 followers, Jack wrote: ‘True or false: Usha Vance is way hotter than Jackie O.’

But users failed to find humor in Jack’s upload, with many instead wondering why he was including his own grandmother in such a ranking.

One commented: ‘Gonna be honest man, I think most people don’t do hotness rankers involving their grandmas.’

Another wrote: ‘Weird thing to post about your grandmother.’

‘Literally your grandmother,’ said a third.

Echoing a similar sentiment, another added: ‘Don’t talk about granny that way.’

‘Jack NOOO this may be taking the trolling too far!’ a fifth continued.

A sixth penned: ‘Honey, they’ll crucify you for this.’

‘Disrespecting my grandmother for Twitter likes,’ posted another.

Jack, real name John, is the youngest of three children of designer and artist Edwin Schlossberg and author and diplomat Caroline Kennedy.

He is named after his maternal grandfather, the 35th U.S. president John F. Kennedy, and matrilineal great-grandfather, the Wall Street stockbroker John Vernou Bouvier III.

JFK was assassinated while riding in a presidential motorcade through Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963.

Jackie Kennedy died in her sleep at her Fifth Avenue apartment on May 19, 1994 aged 64.

Usha Vance, who is the wife of Vice President JD Vance, officially became the second lady of the United States on Monday morning.

She is the first Indian American and Hindu American in the role.

Jack is known for his bizarre social media presence.

In November, he set the internet on fire with a bizarre video of himself lip-syncing to Fleetwood Mac in Dunkin’ Donuts, in front of a confused employee.

He posted a clip of himself bopping to ‘Everywhere’ in an almost-deserted New York City branch of the popular chain.

Jack panned the camera toward a server at the end of his performance – adding another comedy element to the clip as she stared at him in bemusement.

He’s also taken many public shots at his cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is the nominee for United States Secretary of Health and Human Services in President Donald Trump’s second cabinet.

In November, Jack joked that his grandfather’s nephew and other Trump appointees ‘be required to submit a stool sample’ before assuming power.

‘If they don’t give a s**t about bodily autonomy, why not ask for one,’ he wrote, before tagging Trump’s newly tapped health secretary specifically.

‘Lots to spare, much to be revealed,’ he joked – further enflaming political tensions seen in his blue-blooded family.
