I’ve spent more than £17,000 on tattoos and body modifications… I get called ‘demon dad’ but I like being seen as a dark being

A man with ninety percent of his body covered in modifications and tattoos revealed he is known as ‘demon dad’.

Larry Botello González, 26, from Bogotá, Colombia, was just 12 years old when he go his first tattoo and he was 17 years old when he got his first body modification- a forked tongue.

Today, the tattoo artist has 28 subdermal implants, a reconstructed nose and horn implants.

He is the proud father of daughter Alice, five, husband to wife Angie Khaterine, 26, and owner of a dog called Thanos.

Larry cannot even count the number of tattoos he has, since he has several layers of ink on top of other tattoos.

The procedures that Larry has had include tongue implants, tongue pigmentation, eye pigmentation and scarification, which is an invasive way of permanently marking the body through cutting.

He also has braiding, which is cutting strips of skin and intertwining them to heal in a braided pattern, expansions, ear cutting and nose cutting.

Larry explained how he has spent over £17,000 on his body modifications.

Larry Botello González, 26, from Bogotá, Colombia, who has ninety percent of his body covered in modifications and tattoos, revealed he’s called a ‘demon dad’

‘It is a very significant figure I’ve spent on tattoos,’ said Larry.

‘I have always generated a good income and the body modifications earned me a lot of money.

‘I got my first tattoo at the age of 12, and I haven’t stopped getting tattoos. The first modification, which was the forked tongue, was at the age of 17.

‘When I started to modify my body with horns, my family didn’t say anything because I already had most of my body tattooed.

Larry said he received a lot of mixed attitudes towards his tattoos.

‘On social networks I see bad comments but that does not affect me’, said Larry.

‘People call me a demon or son of Satan among other things, but it is really something that does not affect me because I like being seen as a dark being.

‘I believe that my nose and my horns are demonic signs where they say I look like the devil, but the truth is I don’t care, I love seeing myself like that.

‘My daughter doesn’t suffer from bullying, maybe on the contrary the other children admire that my daughter has a different father because I am an artist.’

Larry shares his thoughts on his most painful modification and advice for those looking to step into this world.

‘The most painful modification was the nose cut, because the anaesthesia does not work well there,’ said Larry.

Larry said the reason he started tattooing his body was because he didn’t feel good about himself when he was younger and wanted to be different and turn around prejudice.

‘I always wanted to be different, both on the outside and inside’, said Larry.

‘There are many human beings who disguise their evil with a pretty face.

‘I think the other way around. I prefer to have a devil’s face and have a lot of light inside me to do good things and be a good human being.

‘So, when I started getting tattoos and modifying my body, I found what I had always looked for: a physical change and being different.

Larry gave his advice to others considering following in his footsteps.

‘First of all, they would have to be very sure of what they are doing,’ he said.

‘You may want to be different, but do not take it lightly since body modification is something very extreme, something for life and there’s no turning back.

‘We are in a very prejudiced world, so if someone wants to modify their body, they should be clear about what they are going to do with their life to generate income because anyone who is modified cannot apply for a normal job.

‘You need to have the financial capacity to be able to survive by yourself, have an art, some company or something that does not cut you off or make you suffer from regret later.

‘Don’t do it if you want to copy someone else, and always be very sure of what you are doing and go to the right professional for each modification you want to make.

‘The other parents treat me with respect since I respect them and only on occasion they speak to me about my tattoos since my personality is very calm and approachable.’
