Isuzu D-Max Gets More Expensive

Gandhara Industries has raised the prices of its Isuzu D-Max pickup truck by up to Rs. 415,000, following the introduction of the New Excise Value (NEV) Levy under Pakistan’s 2025–26 federal budget. The revised prices took effect from July 1, 2025.

Here’s a breakdown of the new prices:

  • D-Max Xterrain 3.0L: Increased by Rs. 415,000, from Rs. 12,975,000 to Rs. 13,390,000
  • D-Max AutoPlus 1.9L: Increased by Rs. 290,000, from Rs. 10,500,000 to Rs. 10,790,000

This marks the latest hike in a series of price revisions across the auto sector. Honda Atlas, Kia Lucky Motors, Pak Suzuki, Hyundai Nishat, and Changan have all raised prices in recent weeks, blaming the NEV Levy, rupee depreciation, and higher import and freight costs.

Industry experts warn that the constant upward revisions could further dampen already sluggish sales. Automakers have urged the government to reconsider the impact of new taxes, cautioning that affordability is becoming a serious concern for average consumers.
