Israel’s cabinet has formally approved a ceasefire and hostage release set to take place between Israel and Hamas. It will mark an end to the conflict that began with the Hamas terror attack on Oct. 7 in 2023 and led to tens of thousands of deaths in Gaza. NBC’s Daniele Hamamdjian reports for TODAY.
