‘Impart engineering, medical education in Tamil’: Amit Shah urges Stalin amid language row | India News

In a retort to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, who has been targeting the Centre over “Hindi imposition” and delimitation exercise, Union Home Minister Amit Shah urged the DMK president to impart engineering and medical education in Tamil in the state.

While speaking at the 56th Raising Day of the CISF at Thakkolam in Ranipet, Shah said the Narendra Modi government effected changes and now ensured that the CISF aspirants could write the exam in their respective regional languages.

“Now the PM Narendra Modi government has ensured that the exam can be written in Tamil too,” Shah said. Lauding the state’s culture, Shah said it played a vital role in strengthening India’s cultural stream.

“Be it administrative reforms, attaining spiritual heights, education or the unity and integrity of the nation – Tamil Nadu has reinforced Indian culture in every sphere,” Shah said.
Assembly polls are scheduled in Tamil Nadu in next year and over the recent weeks Stalin has upped his ante against the BJP. The 72-year-old leader, who is attempting to emerge as the voice of the South, alleged the saffron party of chauvinism.
