It’s the perfect Father’s Day gift
Father’s Day is around the corner and with it comes the pressure to find the men in our lives the perfect gift. If you’re considering getting him a new aftershave, perhaps a discovery set might be a good idea.
Fenwick have reduced the Creed Mens Inspiration Set from £45 to £38.25 – making it now £7.65 per scent. Considering it regularly costs £310 for a 100ml bottle of the stuff, this is one of the cheapest prices we’ve seen to try it out at home.
Now the bottles in the set are small, with them likely not containing more than a week’s worth of fragrance each, but this is a great way to see if they’re actually something the man in your life will enjoy before committing to a larger price.
There are some discovery sets with larger bottles inside, such as the Maison Margiela Replica Mini Discovery Set (£35) or Penhaligon’s Gentlemen’s Fragrance Collection (£40) but they don’t contain any of Creed’s iconic scents.

Inside the Creed set is:
- Aventus (Top notes are Bergamot, Black Currant, Apple, Lemon and Pink Pepper; middle notes are Pineapple, Patchouli and Moroccan Jasmine; base notes are Birch, Musk, oak moss, Cedarwood and Ambroxan.)
- Silver Mountain Water (Top notes are Bergamot and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Green Tea and Black Currant; base notes are Musk, Petitgrain, Sandalwood and Galbanum.)
- Millésime Impérial (Top notes are Sea Salt and Fruity Notes; middle notes are Sicilian Lemon, Bergamot, Iris and Mandarin Orange; base notes are Sea Notes, Musk and Woody Notes.)
- Green Irish Tweed (Top notes are Iris and Vervain; middle note is Violet Leaf; base notes are Ambergris and Sandalwood.)
- Original Vétiver (Top notes are Bergamot, Ginger and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Haitian Vetiver, Sandalwood and Iris; base notes are Musk and Ambergris.)
While it’s not pulled in any reviews on Fenwick, over on the official Creed website it’s got an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 from across 379 reviews. One review reads: “Online boutique was very easy and straightforward to shop from. Husband had only ever tried Aventus so thought be good way for him to try others and he loves 4 out of 5 fragrances. So well worth trying five-stars.”
A second penned: “Had Aventus before, thought I would try some other ones before buying. Really like the Irish tweed and the Silver mountain water, people have asked me what I’m wearing and I smell nice, especially the ladies. Always a good sign. More than happy.”
A third said they liked the scents, but criticised the size, writing: “Lovely collection of distinct fragrances. I just wish they were a bit bigger.”
A fourth shared a similar sentiment, adding: “Love all the fragrances, I think it would be better if you could re fill them from a bigger bottle as a little one is perfect for a night out topping up on your scent. But love all the scents and will be buying a bigger bottle when I return! Love the packaging it’s amazing!”
