CA Inter Results 2025: Deepanshi Agarwal emerged as the topper of the CA intermediate January 2025 examinations. Agarwal scored 521 marks out of 600, which corresponds to 86.83 per cent. Rank 2 and rank 3 have been grabbed by Thota Somanadh Seshadri Naidu from Vijayawada and Sarthak Agrawal from Hathras, respectively.
Speaking to indianexpress.com, the CA intermediate January 2025 topper shares her plans and preparation strategy. The topper cleared her CA inter exams on her first attempt. She appeared for the foundation exam in December 2023.
“In Class 8, I came to know that my dad wanted to do CA, but then he could not, because of family reasons, so it gave me a head start,” the 19-year-old said.
“But then, in Class 9 and 10, I was very confused over my career choices. Later, I took commerce because of my interest in math,” the AIR 1 said. Her father has a cloth business in Hyderabad and her mother is a homemaker who teaches children in slums for free.
“My interest in math and numbers, motivated me to take commerce. When I studied accountancy in Class 11, it fascinated me more. I did not take science as I am not fond of it,” the Hyderabad girl added.
She took a six-month coaching for the foundation and after clearing the same, she chose the same institute for CA inter exam preparation.
Deepanshi has been a school topper throughout her academic life. Although she was in the “Covid-batch” of 2021 in CBSE, she was the school topper in Class 10. She scored 97 per cent marks in Class 10 and Class 12. She is now doing her graduation in BCom from a college affiliated with Osmania University in Hyderabad.

“I felt coaching was necessary because learning all those complex topics on my own and decoding them would have been tedious. When I went to the institute or even took classes from other YouTube faculties, the level of clarity that I got on complex topics made my preparation lucid,” she added.
The excessive competition in CA, the AIR 1 said did not bother her. “I just thought that I have to pass the exam, and regardless of whoever else is passing or getting a rank or anything, it does not affect my results,” she added.
But the vast syllabus definitely had a toll on her for a long time, Deepanshi said, adding that she faced problems even after understanding the concepts.
“It took me a lot of time to put everything together and connect different topics from different subjects, and understand the interrelation and all of that, and even remembering all of that for exams was like a task,” she said. She credit her friends, teachers and her supportive family who have worked as stress-busters in her preparation journey.
