Actor Hrithik Roshan is about to make his directorial debut in the 4th edition of the Krrish franchise, as his father Rakesh Roshan, who directed Koi Mil Gaya (2003), Krrish (2006), and Krrish 3 (2013), announced that his son will be taking his spot in the director’s chair. Since the announcement, speculations are in the air about who is going to be returning from the cast of the previous films. To fan the flames even further, Hrithik just met with Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, although the reason for the meeting is still unclear.
Both Priyanka and Roshan attended Nick Jonas’ Broadway show on Wednesday, and during a meet and greet the next day, Roshan commented, “Last night, I was with Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra. We were watching his Broadway show, which is, by the way, brilliant. He was absolutely amazing. It’s called The Last Five Years. If you haven’t seen it, you must see it.”

Chopra and Roshan worked together in Krrish (2006) and Krrish 3 (2013). In the 2006 film Hrithik’s character Krishna was introduced as the son of Rohit Mehra from Koi Mil Gaya, who also inherited his father’s powers. The film was a big hit at the box office and was considered India’s entry into the superhero genre. After 12 years, Krrish is back on people’s minds, as Roshan will likely be playing a double role on the screen and will definitely be playing a role behind the camera.
According to a report by India Today, the studio is planning to bring back many familiar phases. Throughout the three films in the franchise as of yet, there have been many big names such as Preity Zinta, Priyanka Chopra, Vivek Oberoi and Rekha, but none of these names have been confirmed for the new film.
While Priyanka Chopra was last seen in the TV series Citadel (2023) alongside Richard Madden and Stanley Tucci, Roshan’s last conquest was Fighter (2024), with Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor.
