Fletchers’ Family Farm stole the hearts of ITV viewers when it first started airing in 2023, with a second series following now long after the first. Following the families daily activities of running a farm alongside daily life, the second series saw Kate Fletcher take on a mammoth task of converting an old barn into a holiday let.
Since the show has aired, the popularity of the renovated Stag Cottage has taken off considerably with Kate Fletcher saying that the volume of bookings has “gone above and beyond our expectations”. It’s located in Leek, under the shadow of the Loaches and only a stones throw away from the Peak District.
Kelvin Fletcher, who previously played Andy Sugden in Emmerdale, explains that the cottage renovation project is his wife’s ‘baby’. He goes on to joke that if he can’t find her on the farm, she’s more than likely ‘spending time on her new obsession’, as reported by Stoke on Trent Live.

Liz added: “Since we put the cottage up for rent as a holiday let, it has just gone crazy. We put it online for about two days, and the year literally sold out. So, we’ve now got bookings going into 2025. It’s just gone above and beyond our expectations.”
Stag Cottage, available through Sykes Holiday Cottages, has been accumulating a series of five-star accolades from guests. Last month, Rich left high praise: “The cottage had everything we needed and we received fast and helpful advice and support from Liz. I’d recommend Stag Cottage as an idyllic, quiet and cosy home for anyone’s restful holiday. Nearby we found nice villages, pubs and amazing walks. Many thanks for the opportunity to enjoy your lovely home.”
Another guest in November was equally impressed by the property, stating: “It feels so homely as soon as you step inside. Very cosy and welcoming, beautifully decorated. A real gem! Very comfortable beds. We love how quiet it is. Kelvin and Liz were lovely and friendly. We would love to stay again! Thanks from Jules and Chris.”
If you’d rather stay in a different cottage in the same area, there’s Folds Lane Farm. It sleeps six guests and has a five star rating with plenty of availability in the next few months.
There’s also The Granary which has another perfect five star rating and is in close proximity to the Peak District. It has a super cosy log burning stove and plenty of availability until the end of the year.
