“The Apple I heralded a shift in personal computing. In the years prior, most computers were sold as kits, or assembled at a premium by the manufacturer. The purchase of a board that was completely tested and in working order led to “hassle-free” computing, helping spur personal computing towards a more mainstream consumer market,” the National Museum of American History said about Apple 1.
“Owning an Apple-1 is more than possessing a computer; it’s a piece of history—a direct connection to the groundbreaking vision of Jobs, Wozniak, and the pioneering team that transformed the world of technology”, Bobby Livingston, Executive Vice President at RR Auction, said while highlighting the importance of the Apple 1 devise.
