Prasidh Krishna has been awarded the ‘Player of the Match’ award. A superb spell in the middle overs, finishing with figures of 4-0-18-2. Who were the two wickets you ask? None other than Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav. Changed the game in GT’s favour.

Hardik Pandya brutally dissects Mumbai Indians’ defeat, and states that they under-performed with both bat and ball tonight. Also says that is important for the batting to step up, which has failed to cross more than 160 in both games.

Gujarat Titans BEAT Mumbai Indians! A very well-deserved, well-earned victory for the 2022 champions, as they win by 36 runs. More agony for MI, whose India stars just cannot get it together in this shade of blue.

Suryakumar Yadav has taken a big blow to the helmet. Sharp bouncer by Prasidh, SKY loses his balance a bit, and it hits him on the helmet grill. He falls flat on the floor, players and medical staff run up to him. He does get up eventually, but seems to have copped a blow on the eye. 

A huge save by the helmet. That could’ve been very nasty.

Eoin Morgan in the commentary box speculates that it is not cramp for Sai Sudharsan, but could well be a hamstring injury. Sai Sudharsan is unable to walk properly, and is being helped along by GT support staff. It will be a monstrous blow for them if he is injured.

Sai Kishore was bowling an excellent over after coming into the attack, but Suryakumar Yadav picks up a boundary on the final ball. He’s been hitting the sweep on every ball, and got the boundary. A GT fielder seems to be injured at the boundary – it’s Sai Sudharsan! That could be a big loss for GT if it is anything serious.

The ball from Siraj completely shocked Rohit Sharma. Change of length by the pacer, and Rohit was completely bamboozled. Tilak Varma is out in the middle at No. 3, to try and help MI recover from the early wicket.
