Actor Robson Green has shared his excitement over an upcoming four-part drama, The Game.
Grantchester star Robson Green took to social media recently, revealing his latest project, The Game.
The four-part drama is set to air on Channel 5 ‘soon’ as the actor shared a glimpse of what viewers can expect to see on his social media.
Posting a snap of himself in character next to Jason Watkins, Robson wrote: “Coming very soon! “The Game” introduces retired detective Huw who finds himself drawn back into an unsolved case that continues to haunt him – and things soon take a chilling turn.”
“Years ago, Huw failed to solve the case of The Ripton Stalker. And when new neighbour, Patrick, utters the chilling sign off used by the Stalker to taunt Huw – “catch you later”
“Huw becomes convinced he’s finally got his man. I had the privilege and the honour of working alongside one of my favourite actors of all time @jasonwatkinsofficial.”
The announcement sparked a flurry of excitement on social media, with viewers eagerly voicing their anticipation of the new TV offering, reports Nottinghamshire Live.

The upcoming four-part series, described as a ‘cat and mouse thriller’, will centre around police detective Huw Miller.
He’s haunted by an unsolved case in his town where a stalker ruthlessly killed their victims.
Years ago, Huw was tormented by this case, but as he nears retirement, suspicions arise about his new neighbour Patrick Harbottle, who uses a phrase the stalker once did.
The synopsis reveals: “What follows is a high-stakes game of psychological chess between the two neighbours as Huw’s world begins to crumble around him.
“Unable to bear the guilt of the stalker taking another victim under his nose, Huw risks everything to unearth the truth. But has he set his sights on the right man, or is his obsession pushing him ever closer to the brink?”
The cast includes Robson Green, Jason Watkins, Sunetra Sarker, Indy Lewis and Jenny Rainsford among others.
Channel 5 viewers can also look forward to performances from Amber James, Joshua Hill, Scott Karim, Amy Huberman, Simon Harrison, Christina Bennington, Lewis Ian Bray and Gordon Kennedy.
Before the show’s premiere, Jason Watkins expressed his excitement about being part of another Channel 5 thriller, following the success of his previous show, Coma.
He said: “This is a different prospect but has all the ingredients for another thrilling ride. So excited to work with Robson – and Sunetra. Another complex and fascinating script: so looking forward to beginning filming!”
The air date for The Game remains under wraps for now.
