The Ministry of Finance has projected the highest exports and remittances in Pakistan’s history for the current fiscal year, with further growth expected in FY2025- 26.
Sources privy to this information disclosed to ProPakistani that exports for the next fiscal year are estimated at $36.12 billion, while remittances are forecast to exceed $37 billion.
For the current fiscal year, exports are expected to surpass the government’s target of $32.34 billion and reach $32.98 billion. Meanwhile, remittances are projected to exceed the target of $30.28 billion, to roughly $35.24 billion.
The previous fiscal year saw exports of $30.97 billion and remittances totaling $30.25 billion.
The ministry has also set an import forecast of $66.25 billion for the next fiscal year. For the current fiscal year, imports are estimated to reach $58.98 billion, exceeding the government’s target of $57.28 billion. Imports in the previous fiscal year amounted to $53.56 billion, sources added.
