An inquest has opened into the death of young Cali Marged Lewis-Mclernon
A four-year-old girl was rushed to hospital after being found unresponsive in a bath, a coroner’s court has heard.
Cali Marged Lewis-Mclernon was at her home when she was tragically found in the bath tub.
Emergency services rushed to the property after being called out to the girl’s home.
The child was taken to hospital but died during the early hours of the following morning.
An inquest into her death was opened at Llanelli Town Hall, Wales, on Monday, March 10.
Hayley Rogers, coroner’s officer for Dyfed-Powys Police, told the hearing that police received a call from the Welsh Ambulance Service at 5.59pm on February 20.

They were asking for assistance due to a four-year-old girl being ‘in cardiac arrest’ after being found ‘unresponsive in the bath’ at an address in the Llangunnor area of Carmarthen on the evening of February 20.
Miss Rogers confirmed Cali died at Glangwili Hospital at 2.45am the following morning, WalesOnline reports.
A post mortem was carried out at the hospital a week later.
The results of which have not yet been confirmed, the hearing was told.
A police investigation is ongoing.
A 41-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter has since been released on bail.
Paul Bennett, senior coroner for Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, offered his condolences to Cali’s family and adjourned the inquest until a further hearing on June 30.
