Maybe he’s born with it – or maybe he’s just an expert at applying eyeliner.

Disgraced former Congressman George Santos has weighed in on Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance’s striking eyeliner, adamant the the Republican nominee was not wearing makeup.

While social media was ablaze with jokes likening his look to that of a teenage Miley Cyrus (dubbed as his inspiration), Santos took the X, formerly known as Twitter, to describe, in detail, the Ohio senator’s striking appearance.

‘Vance does NOT use eye liner,’ he wrote.

‘I’ve met him in person before he was a senator and I can confirm he has long eyelashes and they cast a shadow on his waterline when is studios full of lights… Grow up people!’

Both democrats and republicans were united in one distracting factor: Republican senator J.D. Vance ‘s expertly applied eyeliner

Tim Walz and JD Vance took to the stage for 2024 US Vice Presidential debate on Tuesday night, but it wasn’t just their polices that had viewers talking.

With just 35 days left until the election – and with polls showing it could be one of the closest races in decades – both democrats and republicans were united in one distracting factor: Republican senator J.D. Vance’s expertly applied eyeliner.

While the vice presidential nominees kept it civil throughout the debate, social media users were quick to draw a hilarious comparison, or perhaps inspiration, behind his literal eye-catching look, a photo of a young Miley Cyrus at the 2008 Grammys.

Many people took to X, formally known as Twitter, to share their thoughts about the Ohio Senator’s charcoal look, with multiple comparisons to a young Cyrus at the 2008 Grammys.

‘JD Vance got those Miley Cyrus eyes,’ one social media user observed, along with the picture of then 16-year-old pop sensation staring intensely at the camera.

‘I’m so sleepy that this pic of miley cyrus kinda resembles jd vance,’ another wrote.

‘Why is jd vance serving miley cyrus smokey eyeliner,’ questioned someone else.

Other’s shared where they think Vance could have found inspiration for his striking look, listing Marilyn Manson, My Chemical Romance and Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean.

‘JD Vance thinks he’s Captain Jack Sparrow. Captain Eyeliner up there,’ joked another, along with a gif of the Disney pirate.

‘Fun inside fact: JD Vance has to do his lil “side eye” thing once every three minutes per the terms of his contract with L’Oreal Paris ColorLast™ Eyeliner,’ joked another.

‘Easy Breezy Beautiful Cover Girl,’ agreed another.

‘Trying to listen to jd vance but distracted by his beautiful eyeliner,’ another quipped.

While some viewers were distracted by the Ohio’s senator’s flawless application, others were delighted to find that Democratic vice president nominee Walz donned a friendship bracelet on his right wrist as he debated Vance, as a subtle nod to Taylor Swift.

Last month following the presidential debate, the singer famously publicly endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris.

‘I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,’ she wrote on Instagram about her decision to endorse Harris.

‘I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.’

It’s unknown if Walz’s bracelet was the one the Harris-Walz campaign began selling on their website following last month’s presidential debate.

Vance and Walz had a largely civilized and substantive debate about policies ranging from immigration to health care, the economy and taxes, abortion rights and more.

Immediately, both candidates shook hands before the debate even started. It was different from when Harris had to walk over and address Trump at the top of their presidential debate last month.

During the debate, both candidates even acknowledged their agreement at times.

In a focus group on CNN afterwards, one undecided voter called it an unexpectedly ‘warm and fuzzy’ debate.
