Gatineau police ask for public's help after 91-year-old man struck

Gatineau police are asking for the public’s assistance after a 91-year-old man was struck by a hit-and-run driver.

The man was struck around 2 p.m. on April 17 by a vehicle driving southbound at 536 Buckingham Ave.

Police say details about the vehicle are unknown at this time, but investigators believe the driver’s side collided with the pedestrian, then the vehicle allegedly continued driving south.

The vehicle could have damage on the driver’s side door mirror, and it could have damage to the bumper on the driver’s side.

Investigators are looking for witnesses, images or video captured by surveillance cameras near the scene.
