Less than a week after premiering on streaming for its fourth season, FX has offered clarity on the future of the Chicago-set culinary comedy-drama “The Bear.”
While the ending of Season 4 left plenty up to interpretation on the future The Bear and its characters, FX confirmed the hit series has been renewed for a fifth season.
The show, which has been the winner of 21 Primetime Emmy Awards, initially premiered in the summer of 2022, with a new season releasing in June of each year since.
The fourth season, consisting of 10 episodes, premiered on Hulu on June 25.
Many fans speculated that the show was concluding after the fourth season, with the season finale titled “Goodbye” as some felt the show’s plot points could have reached a conclusion open to the interpretation of fans.
To the delight of many, the Chicago-centric show will carry the stories of The Bear’s beloved characters through another season.
