Saurabh Bharadwaj was one of the busiest leaders of the AAP. He was the health and urban development minister. He also looked after Delhi’s tourism and art and culture as well as industries and flood control departments. However, on February 8, when the results of the Delhi Assembly polls were announced, AAP was defeated and Bharadwaj lost his Greater Kailash (GK) seat.
On Wednesday, Bharadwaj became a YouTuber and launched his channel ‘Berozgar Netaji’.
“Even Bernie Sanders has one,” he said, referring to the US Senator, who lost to US President Joe Biden in the Democratic presidential primaries in 2020.
“I will talk to the people of Greater Kailash as well as the city about their issues,” he told The Indian Express.
In his first video on the channel, Bharadwaj said that the election results on February 8 have changed Delhi’s political landscape. “For leaders like us, it is a 180-degree flip. We are now
unemployed.”
“Many people have been reaching out on WhatsApp and Twitter. I wanted to tell you what happens in a politician’s life. I will be responding to all
questions… about my plans and what changes a politician experiences after an election loss. Through this channel, I want to share my journey and address these questions directly,” he said in the video.

Once the channel goes live, viewers can submit their questions and suggestions.
Bharadwaj, who lost to BJP’s Shika Roy by a margin of over 3,100 votes, said that he was an IT professional before he joined politics but cannot go back as the sector has seen a lot of technological upgrades. “Companies also hesitate to give jobs to politicians,” he said.
Maintaining that he needs to earn a livelihood, Bharadwaj said, “Everyone thinks that once a person becomes an MLA or an MP, he or she doesn’t need money but that is not the case with me. We need money to sustain our livelihood. Even my team will help get some help through the channel.”
Speaking about his defeat in the elections, Bharadwaj said that half of Delhi voted for the AAP and half of GK voted for him. “I will be posting videos for the people who supported us,” he said.
