TERRY MCLAURIN has requested a trade to leave the Washington Commanders, according to reports.
The wide receiver has hit an impasse in negotiations over a new contract.

He also failed to report for the first four days of training camp.
A source told ESPN there has been no movement over a new deal so McLaurin has requested a trade.
McLaurin was placed on the injury list as he missed training camp, with the Commanders claiming he had an ankle injury.
He has since reported for training, meaning he escapes a $50,000 a day fine.
The 29-year-old even stopped to sign autographs after practice and told a fan he was funny after being asked if he had signed a new contract.
Sources at the club claim there is no way McLaurin will be traded.
And interest may be limited given he will demand $30million a year, on top of what the Commanders want in a trade.
Washington general manager Adam Peters said of the contract situation, “You’d like to get these things done quicker, but it doesn’t always happen that way.
“Whatever happens along the way, just understand he’s a great player and we want to keep him here.”
McLaurin is playing 2025 on the final year of a three-year contract extension and is coming off of a career season.
The wide receiver has put together five consecutive 1,000-yard seasons, with last year possibly being his best.
He went off for 1,096 yards with 13 touchdowns as he formed an incredible connection with rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.
Despite his incredible stretch of form and stunning season in 2024, the Commanders have yet to reward McLaurin with a new contract.
This year, he is due $25.5 million on the final year of his three-year, $68 million extension.McLaurin feels like he is owed more on a new contract based on how valuable he has been over the last six years with the Commanders.
“With how the market is today it conveys what guys of my calibre are deserving of,” he said.
“I feel I fit in that box because of how I’ve carried myself on and off the field.
“I don’t want to feel like you have to beg for someone to see your worth and value.
“Everything in previous regimes and now I’ve done everything asked of me.”
