TV star Jeff Brazier’s son, Freddy Brazier has opened up about his “serious mental health” issues as he made the heartbreaking admission to an account dedicated to raising awareness for epilepsy.

The 20-year-old is the son of Jeff Brazier and the late Jade Goody, and has always been open about his previous diagnosis of ADHD that he received when he was 10-years-old. He took to TikTok to be honest with viewers as he discussed what it’s like to live with his diagnosis of ADHD, bipolar and epilepsy in order to raise awareness.

After being diagnosed at the age of 10, Freddie previously said: “I don’t think I was bad but I weren’t good.” Jeff then took over and announced: “I couldn’t hazard a guess on how Fred’s mind works but I know he’s going to do something amazing in his lifetime.”

Mirror reports that in the TikTok video, Freddy filmed himself at home as he spoke to the camera on behalf of an epilepsy awareness account. He said: “I’m Freddy Brazier,

“Some might know me for my harsh mother Jade Goody, the Big Brother star some would say. Or my father Jeff Brazier the TV presenter, known for multiple things – couldn’t tell you,” Freddy said while laughing.

Freddy and Jeff appeared on last year’s Race Across the World, which saw pairs of celebrities battle it out to travel from Tigre to the 10,000 year-old mountain town of Tilcara.

Referencing his appearance on the BBC show, he continued: “And if you’ve watched Race Across the World you might also know me from there! The absolute legend from Race Across the World.”

Shifting his tone to one of a more serious note, he added: “Just coming on to say that seizures – or any illness – shouldn’t be made a joke or something to laugh about,

“Me myself, I suffer from serious mental health, and I’ve got ADHD and bipolar. And it’s not nice when people want to belittle you or talk down on you because of it.”

As the video came to an end, the star smiled as he declared: “For more information about seizures and whatever else, visit this account. Hope it helps.”

In the comment section, the account holder @nocausenocureepilepsy revealed that they requested for Freddy to do the video and he was “happy” to help and “offered to do the video straight away”.

Many fans were equally impressed with his honesty while talking about his mental health and epilepsy. “You are a star, you are helping so many for talking out,” one person said, with another adding: “You are a voice for all young men keep up the good work.”

“Well done for speaking out mate,” a third praised. Another fan penned: “Be proud of yourself to open up and help young lads or anyone really.”

There have been recent reports that Jeff is launching legal action to stop Freddy from seeing his maternal grandmother, Jackiey Budden, over concerns that the pair had a negative relationship.

Jackiey responded as she said: “I know what this is all about.” She went on to add: “It (the situation with Jeff) doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter” reports the Mirror.
