After the game, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel suggested that Hill refused to play in the second half of the season finale.

“I was informed that he was unavailable, right before a drive,” McDaniel said.

“I was not informed that it was a new injury… there was guys on the field that were competing.”

In footage broadcast on Fox and subsequently posted to social media, Jaylen Waddle can be heard speaking to Hill.

Addressing his teammate by his nickname, Waddle said, “Hey Cheetah, you done?”

Amazingly Hill’s response can’t be heard… due to the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme playing over the stadium speakers.

Hill still has two more years remaining on his contract with the Dolphins.

But after the game, he suggested that he wants out.

Speaking in the locker room, he said: “This is my first time I haven’t been in the playoffs..

“I just gotta do what’s best for me and my family. If that’s here or wherever the case may be, I’m finna open that door for myself. I’m opening the door. I’m out, bro.

“It was great playing here, but at the end of the day, bro, I got to do what’s best for my career. I’m too much of a competitor to be just out there.”

Quizzed about Hill’s post-game comments, McDaniel refused to make a definitive statement.

He said, “I’m not going to [put] too much weight on second-hand, postgame disappointment statements.

“We will see how (the) next couple days progress in convos with him and I.”

HILL’S DISAPPOINTING SEASON

Hill endured an underwhelming season with the Dolphins.

And the stats back it up.

He finished the year with 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns.

This marked the first time that he failed to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards since 2019 when he was with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Hill was traded to the Dolphins in 2022 after asking out of Kansas City.

Since then the Chiefs have won back-to-back Super Bowls.
