Forvis Mazars promotes Lisa Pennington to partner

Lisa Pennington has been made a partner for Forvis Mazars’ UK healthcare practice. She will be based in the consultancy’s Manchester wing.

At the start of 2024, it was announced that international network Mazars was set to join forces with US player Forvis. The deal created Forvis Mazars – a firm with a combined $4.7 billion in global revenues, becoming the world’s ninth largest audit and advisory network standings, ahead of Baker Tilly and behind Crowe based on current take.

As Forvis Mazars looks to forge ahead, it has announced a series of senior appointments, across its global operations. At the turn of the year, it was announced Hervé Hélias would now serve as the group’s new chair, while Pascal Jauffret stepped into the role of CEO. In the UK meanwhile, January 2025 saw Forvis Mazars name Jennifer Allison as the new office managing partner in Edinburgh, succeeding Laura Clarkson – who became the leader of the firm’s national healthcare practice.

Now, the professional services network has followed this up by naming Lisa Pennington as an accounting and outsourcing partner in its UK healthcare and life sciences team. With two decades of experience in the healthcare finance sector, she will take up the role in the firm’s Manchester office.

Forvis Mazars UK healthcare partner and head Clarkson commented, “We are thrilled to announce Lisa’s appointment as partner, a well-deserved recognition of her exceptional contribution to both our team and clients. Lisa’s expertise and in-depth understanding of the healthcare sector are invaluable as we continue to strengthen the services we offer for new and existing clients and we have no doubt that with Lisa’s guidance, the team will continue to go from strength to strength.”

Pennington first joined Forvis Mazars in 2023, and has supported and developed year-end compliance and advisory services for medical clients. These range from federations and primary care networks to general practitioners (GP) and GP practices. Looking ahead, her new role will see her help expand Forvis Mazars’s services to meet the changing needs of its clients.
