Former Karnataka MLA Mohiuddin Bava’s brother Mumthaz Ali has gone missing, with the police finding his vehicle near Kulur bridge early Sunday.
According to preliminary investigation, the police said that Ali, a businessman, had left his home at 3 am with his car and roamed around the city. At around 5 am, he stopped his car near Kulur bridge, with the police suspecting that he might have jumped into the river.

State Disaster Relief Force and Coast Guard teams are searching in the river. Before parking his car near the bridge, he had also hit a bus.
A police officer said that they have also sought the help of diver Eshwar Malpe to find Ali.
“There was a fight at his home following which he left. He called his daughter and told him that he is going to die. We need to know if he parked the car and left the place or jumped into the river,” a police officer said.
Mangaluru City police commissioner Anupam Agarwal and other senior police officers are monitoring the search operations.
