West Virginia has added several state natives by way of the transfer portal since Rich Rodriguez began his second stint as head coach.
The trend continued for the Mountaineers on Saturday as former Huntington High School standout Robby Martin pledged a commitment to WVU through social media.

Martin was widely considered among the top recruits from West Virginia in the Class of 2024 and ultimately settled on North Carolina State, where he spent his true freshman season. However, Martin did not see the field for the Wolfpack and has four seasons of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot-3, 302-pound Martin becomes the second in-state offensive lineman to commit to WVU on Saturday. Hours earlier, Youngstown State transfer Wyatt Minor did the same.
West Virginia heavily pursued Martin in high school and was among four finalists along with N.C. State, Penn State and Maryland.
