First Actuarial opens seventh UK office in Birmingham

Pensions advisory First Actuarial has announced the launch of a new Birmingham office. Opening in April 2025, the new locale will be the firm’s seventh across the UK.

David Joy, managing partner of First Actuarial, said, “Last year, our revenue grew by 15% and this year we’re firmly on track to exceed that. To build on this growth, while sustaining our client-first approach to service delivery, we’re expanding into new locations. As one of the UK’s major business hubs, offering a large pool of impressive finance professionals, Birmingham is the obvious choice.”

Throughout its 20-year history, First Actuarial has enjoyed rapid growth. It started out as a consultancy delivering actuarial, administration and investment services for pension schemes. And over time, it has expanded into broader employer benefits, including financial wellbeing, Defined Contribution arrangements, and group protection employee benefits such as life assurance, income protection and critical health cover.

With the launch of its Birmingham outlet, the firm will have seven UK offices. Other locales include Manchester, Leeds, Peterborough, Basingstoke and Tonbridge.

Due to open in April 2025, the office will be headed up by Andrew Allsopp and Mark Frost, former directors of Midlands-based Quattro Pensions. Joining First Actuarial, the two experts will work to “build up First Actuarial’s presence in Birmingham”, according to Frost.

Allsopp added, “The Birmingham office brings us closer to many of our valued clients in the West Midlands. Birmingham’s business district is a thriving and beautiful area of the city, and we’re looking forward to being a part of it.”
