Ecuadorians head to the polls Sunday in a close presidential run-off pitting incumbent President Daniel Noboa against leftist rival Luisa Gonzalez. The vote comes as the country sees unprecedented cartel violence, due largely to a boom in Colombian cocaine production and the attractiveness of Ecuadorian ports for shipping the drug to markets worldwide.
