Early morning shooting in Charleston leaves one wounded


CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A man is recovering from gunshot wounds today after an early morning shooting in the Capitol City.

Police say the gunfire happened around 2:10 a.m. in the 500 block of Maryland Avenue. The victim was shot in the backside, but said he doesn’t know who fired the shots.

Charleston Police say one shot also hit the house, but nobody else was hurt.

The victim is being treated at CAMC.
