Donald Trump has made a recent doctor’s diagnosis public due to mounting speculation about his health.
The US President has been suffering with swollen legs and bruising on his hand.
His Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, has now told reporters in the White House that the President has “chronic venous insufficiency”.
The medical condition is characterized by blood pooling in the veins, leading to increased pressure and strain on the vein walls.

She said tests diagnosed the “benign and common condition, and insisted Mr Trump was in “excellent health”.
Addressing the bruising on the President’s hand, she explained it was due to “minor soft tissue irritation from frequent hand-shaking and the use of aspirin”.
“I know that many in the media have been speculating about bruising on the president’s hand and also swelling in the president’s legs,” she said.
“In the effort of transparency, the President wanted me to share a note from his physician with all of you today.
“In recent weeks, President Trump noted mild swelling in his lower legs, in keeping with routine medical care, and out of an abundance of caution, this concern was thoroughly evaluated by the White House medical unit.”
The Mirror reports that Ms Leavitt said the President underwent a “comprehensive examination”, which included diagnostic vascular studies and ultrasounds.
Ms Leavitt said tests “revealed chronic venous insufficiency, a benign and common condition, particularly in individuals over the age of 70”, adding: “Importantly, there was no evidence of deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease.”
She said the President’s test results were all “within normal limits”, adding: “Recent photos of the president have shown minor bruising on the back of his hand.
“This is consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent hand-shaking and the use of aspirin, which is taken as part of a cardiovascular prevention regiment.
“This is a well-known and a benign side effect of aspirin therapy. And the President remains in excellent health.”
