A DOLLAR General shopper said her local store is already selling Easter-themed goods.
The shopper shocked her Facebook friends with the news, as some urged the chain to pump the breaks.
Facebook user Ernet Mitchell claimed back in December that she saw Easter goods already at Dollar General.
BACKLASH
Ernet and her friends were bemused by the idea that a chain could already be stocking up for Easter even before Christmas.
“What’s crazy is Dollar General already got Easter decor out….SLOW TF DOWN,” Ernet said.
Some questioned how the Easter stuff was out before Valentine’s Day.

“I thought I was tripping when I done start seeing valentine stuff but Easter is very crazy,” one Facebook user commented on Ernet’s post.
Another suggested it could be a mistake.
“Nah somebody getting fired lol,” they commented. “That have to be a accident EASTER?”
One commenter said they were excited for the easter goods, to which Ernet quipped she “can’t keep up.”
While Ernet did not provide any photographic evidence of the pastel-colored goods at Dollar General, it’s possible that some are already stocking up for the holiday alongside Valentine’s Day.
Easter happens every spring, but the date varies widely.
It always happens between late March and late April.
Easter is relatively late this year, with the Christian holiday happening on April 20.
That means there are still months to go for shoppers to get their hands on baskets and chocolate eggs.
It’s not clear when other retailers will begin laying out the Easter goods.
MORE COMPLAINTS
Dollar General isn’t the only one accused of rushing through holidays.
At a Dollar Tree, shoppers complained about Easter items just days after Christmas.
In this case, one shopper posted receipts — pictures of easter-stocked shelves.
Those aren’t the only comments dollar stores have been getting online recently.
One Dollar General shopper recently vented about a return policy he said was “absolutely stupid.”
Some shoppers have raged against “mess” in their Dollar Tree aisles.
