Fitness Cycle

Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya was in Gujarat’s Rajkot to participate in the ‘Fit India Sundays on Cycle’ campaign organised by a city cycling club and state police. Mandaviya has been a regular participant in the event — he was in Junagadh last week cycling with children and in Lucknow the week before cycling with doctors. The minister usually dons a personalised black t-shirt for the weekly event. For Mandaviya cycling is not just a campaign, but a part of his morning routine. As the health minister earlier, he used to cycle to AIIMS to review the functioning of the hospital from time to time.

Fiscal Resolution

Officials at the Department of Consumer Affairs have taken a resolution for the new financial year: to enhance the use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in governance and consumer grievance redressal. The decision was made on the first day of the fiscal, April 1 (Tuesday). According to sources, Consumer Affairs Secretary Nidhi Khare chaired a meeting with senior officials, encouraging them to adopt AI-driven solutions across various departmental initiatives. One of the first programmes expected to integrate AI is the national consumer helpline, a key platform for addressing consumer complaints, said a source, adding that other initiatives are likely to follow in due course.

New Slogan

After “Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan”, the Congress has come up with a new slogan for its leaders — “Jai Congress, Vijay Congress”. Sources said during the three meetings of the Congress high command with district leaders in Delhi over the past few days, party members were told to inculcate the habit of greeting a fellow Congress leader or worker with “Jai Congress”, and the reply to the greeting should be “Vijay Congress”. It is learnt that during the upcoming AICC session in Ahmedabad, party leaders will use this new slogan.
