It’s post-election peace time at Nirvachan Sadan in Delhi after the Election Commission (EC) wrapped up Assembly elections in Maharashtra and Haryana. However, on Wednesday, the building was abuzz once again with activity. This time, cameramen and staff from a leading documentary channel were spotted in the corridors, shooting interviews and capturing stock footage of the building. At the Commission’s behest, the channel is producing a documentary on how the poll panel conducted the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, it is learnt.

Name Must

Delhi Police headquarters has issued an order, making it mandatory to mention the name and designation of the officer approving all official communications instead of the convention of attributing to the “competent authority”. The order stated that all communications, internal as well as external, must carry the name and designation of the officer who grants the approval.

Praising The PM

At the Ministry of Tourism’s event in Kaziranga on Wednesday, Assam Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi with popularising the UNESCO-certified national park by staying there overnight. He said the photograph that PM Modi took of the rare one-horned rhinos at the park was widely circulated on social media. Incidentally, after Modi’s trip, the footfall to the park also increased.

Meeting, Finally

BJP’s Telangana MPs met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Parliament on Wednesday. In the meeting, PM Modi learnt to have told the MPs that BJP managed to win the trust of voters who are moving away from both Congress and BRS in Telangana. The meeting was scheduled in the previous House session but that didn’t materialise as the PM was busy.
