DC vs SRH LIVE: DC look good!

Without Rishabh Pant, this is the start of a new era for Delhi Capitals, and they’ve got off on the right track. Two superb wins, and they’ll hope to carry this momentum forwards, as they take on CSK and RCB away from home in their next two games.

DC vs SRH LIVE: Off day for SRH

Another off day for Sunrisers Hyderabad. They made a powerful start to IPL 2025, but have now lost two in a row. One of the pre-season favourites for the title, SRH need to bounce back quickly. They take on reigning champions KKR next, at the Eden Gardens!

DC vs SRH LIVE: Starc!

Mitchell Starc made the difference today. Five wickets, three of them in the powerplay. SRH were languishing at 37/4, and although Aniket Verma played a blinder, it wasn’t enough. Starc came back to take two at the death as well.

Faf du Plessis showed his class with the bat too!

Delhi Capitals played their first two home games in Visakhapatnam, and they’ve won both. A crazy run chase to beat LSG, and a convincing victory over one of the favourites in SRH. They go up to second spot in the IPL 2025 table, behind RCB on NRR.

DC vs SRH LIVE: VICTORY FOR DC!

Abhishek Porel sends it into the stands! Delhi Capitals beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets. They’ve executed the chase in brilliant fashion, doing it with four overs to spare. Great fifty by Faf du Plessis, and handy contributions all over.

Delhi Capitals now just 9 runs away from victory. SRH bring on Wiaan Mulder into the attack, and his compatriot Stubbs plays it brilliantly to the fence. Two balls later, driven through the covers for 4 more.

Stubbs, boundary! Ends Harshal Patel’s over with a good shot, straight back past the bowler for 4. Delhi Capitals now just 14 runs away from victory, with five wickets still in hand. This will be a big NRR boost as well for them.

Abhishek Porel, so smart. Plays it delicately, just places it through third man and it runs away for 4. End of Zeeshan Ansari’s spell with a 14-run over, he ends with figures of 3/42. Expensive, but his wickets are the reason SRH even had a glimmer of hope.

Abhishek Porel doesn’t give it the full monte, but it still goes for 6! The young left-hander from Bengal showed his skills last year, and is now trying to prove that he can be a reliable middle-order batter for DC.

SRH have sniffed the small chance of victory here, and Cummins has given the ball back to Abhishek Sharma for a third over. The pitch is clearly assisting the spinners better here. DC navigate him well, though. They pick up 9 runs off the over, with a boundary from Porel.

DC need just 36 more to win, in 42 balls.

KL Rahul is gone! Zeeshan Ansari gets a third wicket! Unbelievable debut for the 25-year-old leg-spinner. Rahul goes for the sweep, fails to connect, and the ball dismantles the stumps. Pretty cameo, but it ends too soon. Rahul is unhappy with himself.

Another boundary, right after the six. KL Rahul looks in great touch. He was excellent in the Champions Trophy, and looks to be in a great space of mind here. This one slammed over mid-off for 4. DC’s run-rate above 10 now.

Slight pressure on Delhi Capitals, with both set openers departing. KL Rahul is now at the crease, with Abhishek Porel alongside. And he slams a big SIX! Mohammed Shami sent to the cleaners, typical Rahul class.

Zeeshan Ansari gets another! Fraser-McGurk was going ham, he’d slammed 4, 4, 6, but now departs. Caught and bowled, and Ansari gets a wicket off the first and last balls of his over. Delhi Capitals still motoring along, but a slight jolt here.

Zeeshan Ansari gets Faf! FIRST IPL WICKET! Big wicket for SRH, much-needed breakthrough for the men in orange. Great diving catch at long-on by Wiaan Mulder, after Faf did not fully get hold of the shot.

Name a better love story than Mitch Starc starring against SRH! ‘Player of the Match’ against them in Qualifier 1 and Final of IPL 2024. Come IPL 2025, and he’s taken a superb 5-wicket haul. Three wickets in the powerplay, two at the death. Going very strong, even at 35 years of age.

DC vs SRH LIVE: DC will fancy their chances!

Delhi Capitals will be fancying their chances of victory today. 164 is by no means a particularly daunting total, considering they chased down 210-odd in their previous game. Jake Fraser-McGurk and Faf du Plessis will open, while KL Rahul is also back to provide some solidity to the middle order.

Sunrisers Hyderabad have not been able to live up to their lofty standards with the bat for the second game in a row. They were thoroughly beaten by LSG in their previous game, and now DC have the chance to do the same. The mighty batters failed today, and it was only Aniket Verma’s scintillating 74 that has taken them to a somewhat decent total.

SRH all out for 163! Mitch Starc, 5-wicket haul! Another great catch in the deep by Faf du Plessis, Delhi Capitals have been top-notch in the field today. A superb bowling performance by them, led by Starc’s five and Kuldeep’s three. Starc will also now take over the Purple Cap.

JAKE FRASER-MCGURK, THAT’S STUNNING! Aniket Verma was surely getting another six, but the Australian leaps incredibly at the boundary line and takes an absolute screamer. Sunrisers lose their 8th wicket, and crucially it’s Aniket.
